Media Realeases - LPG & Propane Gas Injection Technologies
3 March 2004
Australian injection system provides a quantum leap in Autogas technology and leads the world with increased performance.
Gas Injection Technologies Pty Ltd (GTi), an Australian research & development company has developed a world leading fuel injection system for Autogas (Automotive LPG) to enhance the performance of the latest technology high performance vehicles now and into the foreseeable future.
It uses world unique "Stealth" injectors that replace the original petrol injectors to seamlessly integrate Autogas with the original vehicle computer.
The results are excellent driveability and emissions, but importantly as the graph depicts, the GTi system can actually increase power over PULP (Premium-Unleaded Petrol) in performance applications. Autogas for years has suffered from being labelled "The cheap, smelly, taxi fuel". The common perception has been a loss of power and reduced reliability, which has been partly due to outdated technology. The reality is, with 110+ octane rating, Propane is an excellent performance fuel at around 35% of the cost of PULP. |

With its quantum leap in technology, the GTi system integrates the high-octane and clean burning properties of Autogas with the advanced engineering of today's performance vehicles, providing superior performance while reducing harmful exhaust emissions and global warming.
Autogas is locally produced, lead free, clean burning and is an important contributor to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
The Australian L.P.Gas Association and Gas Injection Technologies are showcasing this world-first technology with a VY Commodore Clubsport R8 concept car at the Melbourne Motor Show Extra pavilion, stand 16A in Bay 21.
Gas Injection Technologies Pty Ltd is planning to commercialise the product in the near future.
